π§ Anti-Recoil¶
The Anti-Recoil system reduces weapon climb and horizontal movement by applying corrective right-stick input whenever you fire. This menu has two modesβBasic and Weaponβand Anti-Recoil must be turned On before any other settings can be adjusted.
1οΈβ£ Anti-Recoil Mode¶
Options: Off / Basic / Weapon
- Off β Disables all anti-recoil features.
- Basic β Simple manual tuning (same values apply to all weapons).
- Weapon β Advanced mode with per-weapon recoil patterns and independent tuning for every weapon and every profile.
Important: If Anti-Recoil is set to Off, all other Anti-Recoil settings are locked.
π¦ Mode: Basic Anti-Recoil¶
Basic Anti-Recoil gives you universal Vertical and Horizontal settings. These values apply to every weapon used on while this script profile is active.
Vertical¶
- Range:
0 β 100 - Adjusting:
- If the weapon pulls up, increase Vertical
- If the weapon pulls down, decrease Vertical
- Simple rule: More vertical = stronger downward compensation.
Horizontal¶
- Range:
-100 β 100 - Adjusting:
- If the weapon pulls left, increase Horizontal
- If the weapon pulls right, decrease Horizontal
- A value of 0 means no horizontal correction.
- Positive values push aim right, negative push left.
Basic mode works well, but because every weapon behaves differently, it is highly recommended to use Weapon Mode for the best results.
π© Mode: Weapon Anti-Recoil (Recommended)¶
Weapon Mode uses built-in recoil patterns for all 21 weapons. These patterns were captured using default ARC Raiders settings. Because you may use different:
- Curves
- Sensitivity
- FOV
- Response types
β¦the script allows percentage-based tuning to match your personal setup.
Vertical (Weapon Mode)¶
- Range:
-100% β 200% - Meaning:
- 0% = the original built-in recoil pattern
- Higher than 0% = stronger vertical correction
- Lower than 0% = weaker vertical correction
Horizontal (Weapon Mode)¶
- Range:
-100% β 200% - Meaning:
- 0% = the original built-in horizontal pattern
- Higher than 0% = stronger horizontal correction
- Lower than 0% = weaker horizontal correction
- -100% = fully disable horizontal compensation
π§ How to Tune Horizontal (Recommended Method)¶
Horizontal recoil varies more than vertical recoil, so tuning should be done carefully:
- Disable Aim Assist.
- First determine your Vertical value to keep the weapon level.
- Set Horizontal = -100% (This disables the built-in horizontal correction completely.)
- Fire the weapon at a wall, observe the direction of drift.
- Increase Horizontal in small steps.
- Fire again and observe.
- Repeat until the weapon stays as centered as possible.
This gives you the cleanest starting point for accurate tuning.
π₯ Understanding Profiles (Primary & Secondary)¶
The Anti-Recoil menu allows you to configure two independent profiles:
- Profile 1 β Primary weapon
- Profile 2 β Secondary weapon
The active profile being edited is always shown at the top-right of the OLED display as:
- β1β = Primary
- β2β = Secondary
Switching Profiles:¶
- Press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation)
Per-Weapon Memory¶
Every weapon stores its own Vertical/Horizontal values per profile.
- 21 weapons Γ 2 profiles = 42 independent Anti-Recoil configurations
This allows you to switch weapons and profiles without losing any of your tuning.
