Aim Assist Guide¶
Aim Assist can be toggled On/Off.
- When On, it engages aim assist while aiming or firing.
- When Off, aim assist has no effect.
Cronus Zen Is NOT Aimbot
The Cronus Zen does not contain or enable real aimbot (no automatic perfect headshots or locking onto targets). What the legitimate Aim Assist scripts actually do is strengthen and fine-tune the in-game Aim Assist bubble that already exists in almost every console shooter.
What you should realistically expect:
- Stronger stickiness – your crosshair “sticks” to targets much better when you’re already close
- Occasional gentle pull toward the body when enemies enter your aim assist range
- Smoother tracking and less over/undershooting when strafing or following moving targets
- Easier time staying on target during fights
Why so many new users think it’s “aimbot”: A lot of YouTube promoters secretly run actual PC cheats in their “Cronus Zen gameplay” videos while claiming it’s just a Zen script. They do this on purpose to sell you their overpriced “pro” packs and affiliate links, etc.
Real Cronus Zen Aim Assist can be powerful, but it will never look like the perfect laser-beam head-tracking you see in those fake videos.
In short: Cronus Zen gives you a huge advantage with enhanced Aim Assist – it is not, and never will be, true aimbot.
Manage your expectations and avoid the scam script sellers!
Tuning Information
It is important to understand that there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution when it comes to aim assist settings in any Cronus Zen script.
This is due to many factors that directly affect aim assist:
- Maximum Deadzones
- Field-of-view (FOV)
- Aim Response Curve
- Aim Response Curve Slope Scale
- Vertical Sensitivity
- Horizontal Sensitivity
- ADS Multipliers
- Weapon and its attachments
- VM speed of the script
If a weapon in general is not very accurate, such as an MPC-25 or Ryden 45K, you can expect less aim assist because the in-game bloom with the anti-recoil (which is random jumps to the recoil pattern), are constantly pulling your aimer out of the aim assist “bubble.”
We suggest first testing the preset values that are loaded into the script. We also have a settings forum within our Discord server where other users share their settings that you can try.
Field of View
The Field of View (FOV) setting within Call of Duty has proven over the years to make a substantial difference with aim assist performance. Many tests and studies have shown that using a FOV at or above 105, tend to result in a weakened aim assist. For that reason, we recommend using a 100-104 FOV setting.
You may find a higher FOV work better for you because as mentioned above, there are many factors involved when it comes to aim assist
PS5 Users
It is important to understand that for maximum performance and proper execution, Aim Assist, Hip Assist and Strafe Assist rely upon the DualSense 5 adaptive trigger data.
This means that like Automatic anti-recoil, when firing, these assists will not execute in the Firing Range. Use a Custom game or real game to tune them!
Aim Assist¶
- Shape → The shape drawn by your aimer for Aim Assist.
- Standard Aim Assist is “Circle”.
- Aim Radius → The size of the shape drawn by aim assist while aiming.
- The higher the radius, the more shake.
- Shake is what abuses the in-game aim assist, but higher is not always better!
- Aim Speed → How many degrees the aim moves per script iteration.
- How fast the aim assist shape is drawn.
- Example: A full circle = 360°.
- If Speed = 5 and VM Speed = 8, every 8 milliseconds the aimer advances its movement in a circle by 5 degrees.
- Aim&Fire Radius → The size of the shape drawn by aim assist while firing.
- Aim&Fire Speed → How many degrees the shape drawn advances every itteration of the scirpt
Hip Assist¶
- Hip Assist → “Always-on” aim assist (even when not aiming/firing). Toggle On/Off.
- ⚠️ If Off → Hip Radius and Hip Speed have no effect.
- Hip Radius → Size of the circle drawn while hip assist is active.
- Hip Speed → Angle advancement per iteration (works the same as Aim Speed above).
- Hip Fire Radius → Size of the circle drawn when hip firing.
- Hip Fire Speed → Angle advancement per iteration when hip firing (works the same as Aim Speed above).
Strafe Assist¶
Strafe Assist is your left-stick rotational aim assist.
Black Ops 7 Rotational Aim Assist Changes
Treyarch has changed how Rotational Aim Assist works. The key new rule is highlighted in yellow:
→ You now MUST be moving the right stick (actually aiming/tracking) in order for full-strength Rotational Aim Assist to kick in.
What this means in practice with Cronus Zen:
- If you’re just holding left-stick strafe and doing nothing with the right stick, Rotational Aim Assist now drops to almost zero. Your Zen “pull” or “stickiness” will feel extremely weak or gone completely.
- As soon as you add even a little right-stick input (tracking the enemy yourself), full Rotational Aim Assist instantly activates again.
- This change was specifically added to stop completely passive/abusive aim-assist abuse while still rewarding players who actually aim.
Configuring rotational aim assist:
- Strafe Assist → Adds left-stick movement while firing. Toggle On/Off.
- ⚠️ If Off → Strafe Size and Strafe Time have no effect.
- Strafe Size → Strength of the strafe (amount of left stick movement).
- Strafe Time → How long (in milliseconds) the strafe is held before reversing direction.
